I can relive my childhood in Avalon, N.J. by looking at Ray Ellis watercolors! He captured the dunes, the clouds, the boats, the beach in such a way that I can FEEL the salt air when I look at his creations. Maybe because I've known him forever, not so much as an artist, but more as a jokester and fun loving person, I delight in watching this interview. Thank you, Uncle Ray, for letting us catch a glimpse of natural beauty on our walls and coffee tables, something that will last forever!

Beautiful paintings. My father was also a self-made artist. He worked in all mediums but oil was his favorite. He was very well known in the Texas art community. Ralph Baker. He painted until a stroke took him down in 1990 at age 81. He lived to be 83. i really admire your work. My dad always said watercolor was the most challenging and difficult. Hope you keep painting for many more years.
