This is an amazing video. The story of Ozzie's first meeting with Rena is so touching and humorous, and the respect that Chris obviously has for his grandfather and up-bringing is heart-warming. With Ozzie just sitting back to watch, the admirable result of the nurturing of his legacy is evident. The Island culture will surely live on in souls like Chris. I could almost smell the fabulous garlic from miles off-island! Any way to get take-out???

Chris, I love the video and the asparagus recipe, but most of all I loved seeing Ozzie and Rena again. Your grandparents and their children were the soul of Keith Farm - a GREAT place to grow up. Farming and cooking healthy must be in the Fischer genes, because your Aunt Marie kept her lucky college roommates well fed with her wise cooking, and in those days, homemade butter from the farm. She would freeze it and bring it up to school. Listening to you on the Edible Island videos was extraordinarily touching and brought back many good memories. Thank you!
