WIth all the changes taking place as the historic Harbor View Hotel and Resort, another new addition was just announced. Scout Real Estate Capital, who took over the Harbor View last year, has named Thad Hyland, an award-winning hospitality industry veteran, as the Managing Director of the Harbor View and Kelley House.
Hyland, with 33 years in the hospitality industry, was previously Harbor View/Kelley House GM from February 1991 until August 1992 under another management company. For the past 12 years, Hyland has served as managing director of the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa near Santa Barbara, CA, where he helped restore the fabled inn to its status as one of California's finest resorts. Hyland was on board during the inn's recent $150 million renovation, and helped bring its status from Three Diamond to Five Diamond Award level.
Hyland, who will take on the Managing Director role later this month, has owned a home on the Vineyard for over ten years, and is looking forward to returning to the island.
