Every June for the last 23 years, The MV Preservation Trust has held the granddaddy of all cocktail parties on the lawn of the Daniel Fisher House.
The Taste of the Vineyard Stroll gives people the chance to dress up, greet returning summer friends and, of course, snack on samples, both sweet and savory from over 70 local restaurants, caterers and food and beverage purveyors.
People will pay $125 to eat, drink and dance to Jerry Bennett and the Sultans of Swing
On Saturday, the party continues with the Taste of the Vineyard Patron's Party featuring a sit down dinner by V. Jaime Hamilin and Sons and a silent and live auction.
Between the two early summer events, the Preservation Trust hopes to raise between $200 and $250 thousand. This is the organization's biggest fundraising push of the year.
According to the Preservation Trust's executive director Chris Scott, the Taste's popularity has grown considerably, attracting a younger, dressier crowd every year.
