A winner's been declared! Despite some canine controversy, the rightful Dog of the Month owner will be awarded the prize. The half month pooch may surprise some. The two front-running dog owners have worked things out amicably and there will be two dogs on our show on Sunday. Stay tuned as the Dog of the Month drama unfolds. To enter your best friend, simply submit his or her most flattering photo (one per pup please) through our website (just beneath the slideshow on our Home Page) or through e-mail to mvphotos@plum.com, and feel free to add any description or comments about your doggy. Deadline for entrants is Monday, July 20. You can also bring him/her down to the set of the MorningNoon&Night Show (8 a.m.-10 a.m. Saturday & Sunday at the Black Dog wharf) Each MorningNoon&Night Show for the month of July we will feature contestants in bathing suit, evening gown and talent segments (just kidding, but a neat trick could be the clincher) The audience can then vote for their favorites. First prize is a gift basket (value $250) of doggy goodies from Campbell and Douglas in West Tisbury. The winner will be announced on the MorningNoonandNight show on Sunday, Aug. 3. Hopefully the top dog will be on hand to claim the prize. This show is live at 8am and will replay at 3pm and 8pm. You love your dog, Plum loves your dog, now the whole island can give your pooch the recognition he/she deserves.

For the record.... Bailey is the true "Dog of the Month". Before the rules were changed to extend the contest he was the clear winner. Friends, family, co-workers and friends of friends all were so excited to vote for Bailey.I have so many great e mails from his fans. It now seems that someone has figured out a way to add hundreds of votes in just an hour.Have fun stealing what is not yours Fenway!

What a great group of dogs! I have to say that in this weather Fenway and Ozzie are the smartest ones in the bunch: they know how to beat the heat.
I belong to Fellow Traveller, aka Travvy, who's grown a bit since I took that photo. At the vet's today he weighed in at 49.8 pounds. Yikes.

Fenway didn't steal votes. We simply asked our vast network of canine friends to paw out votes for him. I know Bailey is a formidable opponent and should Fenway win, he certainly will acknowledge Bailey, share in some of his swag and treat Bailey like a true doggie friend.
We look forward to meeting you. We're not sure at all who won, but I think Fenway and Bailey will be the top choices.

While Bailey is a cutie I have a soft spot in my heart for border collies thus my vote goes to the handsome FENWAY. I don't know Fenway personally but knowing Border Collies I am sure he is obsessing over catching a ball or a frisbee to worry about "stealing" votes. Seriously people.

I will be watching to see who the winner is but the last I saw before the voting was shut down was that Bailey had over 500 votes and Fenway was second. They are all great looking dogs and lucky to have such devoted friends. I know Bailey and I have to let everyone know that he really is a special dog- extremely smart and gives real hugs!
