Carolers Spread Some Cheer at Windemere

Windemere Carolers

On Christmas day, a handful of Islanders took time from their own families to help bring a Holiday atmosphere to the island's nursing and rehabilitation Center.

A guitar and harmonica accompanied the informal group of 8-12 carolers as they set up in various common rooms around the facility and serenaded patients with Christmas classics. A three-legged therapy dog also made the rounds, and the resident parrot added a few notes to some of his favorite Holiday tunes.

Lyrics were provided and patients were encouraged to join in. The group also took requests for Holiday favorites.
