As a part of the second annual state-wide Mass Audubon volunteer day, Felix Neck invited islanders to come down and put in some time at their beautiful wildlife sanctuary. Volunteers weeded and planted in the butterfly garden, and built new benches for sanctuary visitors to enjoy.
This is the first time Felix Neck has participated in this state-wide effort, and they're looking forward to building on its success next year. However, that doesn't mean you have to wait until next April to pitch in - starting May 9th Felix Neck will have their garden crew working from 10am to 12pm every Friday, and volunteers are always needed.
