Recently Island artist Margot Datz added author to her extensive list of achievements; successful sculptor, muralist, illustrator, mother, and beloved friend having already been mastered.
The launch party for her book "A Survival Guide for Landlocked Mermaids" was packed with friends and admirers who enjoyed wine and punch from glasses bedecked with teeny-tiny mermaids. Datz described her book as, "everything I've learned the hard way - dipped in chocolate." She hopes this book might save modern mermaids some trouble when it comes to matters of life and love.
A limited number of signed copies are available at Bunch of Grapes on Main Street, Vineyard Haven.

"A Survival Guide for Landlocked Mermaids" is a beautiful, delightful book, designed to awaken the mermaid in all women. -I've purchased a copy for all my dearest female friends and family.
