Romantic Inns

Charlotte Inn

the ultimate in refined Martha’s Vineyard guest accommodations, the Charlotte Inn last year placed 17th in Travel and Leisure's 100 best hotels worldwide guide. One look inside and you'll easily understand why. The gracious Edgartown inn was originally a privately owned art gallery and most of the paintings and antiques still adorn the common rooms. The living room is pure English manor house with overstuffed leather couches.

Rooms are equipped with refined touches like silk and linen draperies, hand cut crystal, fresh flowers and sterling silver hairbrushes and hand mirrors. All beds have brocaded canopies. The Inn's common areas are computer and cellphone free. The garden restaurant is a charming spot to enjoy regional cuisine with a French accent.

Outermost Inn

The views are unbeatable. This seven room Inn sits high on the Gay Head Cliffs, offering guests the views the Vineyard is famous for - from every room. Surrounded by 20 wilderness acres, the light-filled Inn has views from picture windows of the ocean on every side. Dinner at the Inn's restaurant is considered a highlight of any Vineyard visit and a trip to Cuttyhunk aboard the Outermost owners' catamaran is a must.

Shiverick Inn

Tasteful and gracious, the Shiverick Inn, tucked away on an Edgartown side street is a throwback to a gentler era. Lovely common rooms feature chandeliers, grandfather clocks, curved staircse, an antique Steinway grand piano and other elegant details. A mood of elegance and romance is carefully orchestrated with music, fresh flowers, complimentary port and sherry and more.

The innkeepers encourage guests to use the breakfast nook for ramantic dinners for two, offering wine and champagne set ups and.
suggestions for take out options.

Thorncroft Inn

In the exclusive West Chop area of Vineyard Haven, you'll find the lovely colonial Thorncroft Inn. A couple's paradise, the inn's thirteen rooms feature luxuries such as jacuzzis, individual hot tubs and fireplaces. Still, the overall tone is old world with nice Victorian touches throughout. The owners specialize in pampering and all rooms are intended for two. There is also one large 1BR cottage with its own garage, fireplace and bedside Jacuzzi.

Harbor View Hotel & Resort

The Grand Dame of MV, the Harbor View Hotel & Resort is a stately survivor of the days of New England manor inns. The spacious wraparound porch is the ideal location for relaxing and enjoying the postcard view of the lighthouse and harbor. Just a two minute ferry ride away is the scenic island of Chappaquiddick where you can bike, hike one of the nature trails, or enjoy one of the most remote beaches the Vineyard has to offer.

Lambert's Cove Inn

A lovely 1790 farmhouse is tucked away on seven woodsy acres in one of the prettiest sections of the island. Comfortably elegant decor, heated outdoor pool, spa and tennis courts make the Inn the perfect destination for a relaxing, spoil yourself getaway.

The estate's picturesque grounds and gardens, surrounded by 150 year old vine-covered stone walls, are the ideal setting for a hand-in-hand stroll.

Your stay includes the privilege of enjoying nearby Lambert's Cove private beach, within walking distance to the Inn. The elegant dining room with hardwood floors and stone fireplaces has long been considered one of the best settings for a romantic dinner for two.

Hob Knob Inn

Charming B&B on Edgartown's historic Main Street is decorated throughout in English country style with warm floral chintz, antiques and fabulous wall and window treatments. Skylit rooms reveal a view of the pretty English gardens and teraces. The Inn also boasts an exercise room, sauna and spa. The luxury suite, with private staircase makes the perfect secluded love nest.
