Thanks to funding from the town of Edgartown, the MV Museum was able last year to begin a much needed restoration project of the town's landmark lighthouse.
The project, which included the installation of a spiral staircase, was recently completed and will allow the lighthouse to become the third on island that is open to the public. This past weekend the Historical Society previewed the newly restored 1881 structure with free tours for locals. The official opening will be June 14th. In cooperation with the Historical Society, the Harbor View will also be offering exclusive dinners for two at the top of the lighthouse. Find out more about this special offering from the newly reopened Harbor View and all about their new restaurant Water Street and bar Henry's. See story.
