Island blues musician and sign-painter, and all-around Vineyard favorite personality, Maynard Silva, passed peacefully this morning from complications stemming from his long struggles with cancer. Maynard was an incredible steel guitarist, singer, harmonica player and storyteller, and had an inspiring wit and sense of humor. He will be truly missed by his many friends from many worlds - on the Vineyard and beyond.
