A troupe of travelling Elvises (Elvi-s?) showed up at the Edgartown Parade and entertained the 1000s of folks who attended. Plum's retro Elvis float brought up the rear and brought down the house. A big Plum thanks to Photographer Bob Gothard who supplied the baby blue '64 Ford Galaxy convertible - it made a very fitting ride for the King (Ted Swarz) his Priscilla (Guinevere Cramer) and Colonel Tom Parker (Les McAllister) Thanks also to rockstars (literally) Rick Padilla of the Mercy Beat as Jailhouse Rock Elvis and Vinnie Padalino of Ballywho as Vegas Elvis - they danced, sang and sweated buckets - all for the sheer love of entertaining. Thanks guys! Also a huge fist pound to actor Aaron (very appropriate name for an Elvis!) Duclos who brought the King alive as the 2008 Hip-Hop Elvis. Thanks also to the Vineyard Haven Thrift store and Dolly who lent us a lot of the clothes (and is a huge community supporter and Elvis fan) See pics of lots of the other floats and celebrating attendees.
