In a world of globalization, thinking locally has never been more important. And the Vineyard is leading the way. The 2nd Annual Living Local Harvest Fest celebrated the island traditions of environmental awareness and living locally by bringing together the Vineyard Energy Project (VEP), Island Grown Initiative (IGI), Vineyard Conservation Society (VCS) and the MV Agricultural Society for two days of food, education and fun. We talked with IGI's Ali Berlow, VEP's Kate Warner and David McGlinchey, and VCS's Virginia Crowell Jones about the shared goal between them and how important it is for the next generation.
